Psychological Assessment
Psychological Assessment is a key interest area of Enfys Psychology. We use a cross battery approach based on CHC theory (Cattell Horn Carroll) to explore the client’s individual needs and understand their profile of cognitive skills and learning preferences. We believe in highlighting strengths as well as weaknesses, and understanding the whole person. Rather than addressing a singular area of ability or behaviour, we provide a holistic assessment so that you have a clear direction and recommendations targeted to your (or your child’s) needs.
CHC is a framework for understanding abilities across all areas, not just those ones covered in individual tests. Therefore we use a wide range of assessment tools and strategies to explore our client’s presenting issues.
We provide assessments for a range of issues, but with particular interest in the following:
Specific Learning Difficulties - Reading, Writing, Maths
High Intellectual Ability (Giftedness)
Inattention & difficulties concentrating, including ADHD
Oppositional & other behavioural difficulties
Intellectual Disability and Developmental Delays
Autism Spectrum Disorders
Memory Difficulties
Planning for school entry
Transition to high school and tertiary studies
Functional assessments, including assessments for funding purposes (NDIS, Disability Inclusion, school leavers, Centrelink etc)
This listed does not cover every possible presenting issue, so please give us a call to discuss your needs if it is not listed above.
